EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing)
EMDR may be offered when teens have a history of trauma that may be contributing to their drug or alcohol use or other acting out behavior. A trained EMDR practitioner is available in these cases and this work can be incorporated into the program
Positive, sober fun is an important and often challenging part of early recovery. In order to help teens relate socially and explore new interests, group outings may be scheduled as part of the teen group. Outings may include climbing, bowling, hiking, arcades, etc. Teens will have opportunities to process these experiences in the group and will be encouraged to seek other outlets for fun on their own.
