Michelle Fountain, LCSW – (707) 543-1005
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have spent the last thirteen years working with youth and families in many capacities. In addition to my work in Next Step, I currently serve as the Executive Director of Lifeworks of Sonoma County, a nonprofit mental health agency in Santa Rosa. Over the years, I have worked in inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs both as a clinician and as a licensed administrator. I have had the opportunity to work as a social worker internationally (Costa Rica) and in schools, homes, and community-based organizations. Throughout all these experiences, I have learned the importance of understanding individuals in the context of their families and environment. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, attachment, family system, and behavioral intervention. I hold strongly to the belief that therapy is about building relationships as the basis for change. I am thrilled to be a part of the Next Step team providing individual, family, and parent support groups within the program. Having experienced addiction in my own family, I am committed to helping families overcome its many challenges. In my free time, I enjoy being active and outdoors, gardening, lifting weights, and camping with my two boys and husband.
